The Edgy Pleated Dress

Edgy style is SUPER chic and requires confidence. Besides, who wants to wear boring looking clothes?!?!? An edgy look can also be casual  with an urban vibe. Edgy  fashion includes unusual looking shapes, cuts and trends. An example of the perfect edgy look is this cute “Black Girl Magic” pleated dress! It has an effortless look with a pop of creativity. I think the designer NAILED it!  Is it appropriate for an office setting or for the entrepreneur that constantly meet with clients? If it’s a conservative setting, I would say no. If you work in a more relaxed office setting, a similar edgy look would be ideal for casual Friday and it could be the perfect happy hour outfit! Height is also an important factor. The dress is cut short in the front—not super short but if you are tall, I would not advise wearing this edgy look to an office setting nor to a business meeting. I stand at 5’4 (average height for a woman) and typically wear 3 to 4-inch heels and since the front doesn’t fall to my knee or close to it—I would not rock this dress in a professional setting. However, shorter women could probably pull it off. Taller women, you can definitely opt for this look for that “chic” weekend event or date night!
