Should Black Women Wear Sunscreen?
You’re probably thinking, “I’m Black and I don’t need sunscreen.” Many of us think this way but the truth is we do need sunscreen and the cliché “black don’t crack” (meaning that black skin doesn’t wrinkle) is false. Wrinkles will come, but thanks to the generous amount of melanin in darker skin, wrinkles take longer to develop. However, if you are constantly exposed to a significant amount of sun they could develop sooner than later. Wearing sunscreen daily helps to slow down the aging process and keeps wrinkles and leathery skin at bay.
Sunscreen is the secret weapon for keeping your skin healthy!
